Online shopping payments made easier by Lazada
Online shopping used to be a fringe activity where only the members of the upper class are capable of participating in. That was during the time when credit cards were the only payment method available for online shoppers to pay their purchases. That was one of the main reasons why online shopping did not get picked up by Filipinos as fast as it was in other more developed countries such as the United States and Canada. Local shoppers have been missing out on the benefits of online shopping for a long time because of that predicament. The benefits that a lot of online shoppers have been missing out on are convenience and the wide range of product options available as well as providing online shoppers the ability to buy large items without the worry of how it is going to be transported as opposed to like when you are getting things like washing machines, big screen T.Vs and other big home appliances from the mall. Plus shipping in Lazada is free and delivery timeframes are fast. Anyway to make things feasible for the average local online shopper, Lazada Philippines introduced three different ways to pay and here’s a brief rundown of how each payment method works. Having all of these payment methods definitely ensures that people from all walks of life can enjoy the shopping convenience that only the Philippines’ online shopping mall can offer.

Credit Card payments- This is Lazada’s primary payment method which is pretty much the standard in the online shopping industry worldwide. It is a dead giveaway that Lazada will still have this as credit card payments still tops other payment methods in terms of convenience and flexibility. The only thing that stands out in Lazada’s credit card payment option is the degree of security and safety. Lazada has the PCI-DSS seal of approval on the website which simply translates to the fact that credit card payment transactions in Lazada are safe and free from security vulnerabilities. That is a big thing for consumers and provides them with peace of mind given the vulnerabilities of online credit card transactions in other less protected online shopping and e-commerce websites. I have had the opportunity to use my credit card to pay for my Lazada purchases on several occasions and I can definitely say that transacting with Lazada felt absolutely safe. I never had any qualms or worries as I am aware that my information is protected.

Dragon Pay- It is an alternative way of making payments online that has similarities with PayPal minus the mandatory credit card when signing up for an account. It utilizes the Philippine banking network and non-traditional outlets like business centers, convenience stores, pawnshops and remittance centers.

Cash on delivery- is by far in my opinion the best payment method amongst the three because of its apparent simplicity. No confirmation, tracking numbers and verification needed. Just shop, proceed to check out and pay for the item once it is on your doorstep. Lazada definitely made it as easy as 1-2-3.
